ISLAND ESCAPE was built for DFDS as the SCANDINAVIA for the ill-fated Scandinavian World Cruises. She passed to Royal Caribbean in 1990 and was extensively rebuilt for 3/4 day cruises out of LA as VIKING SERENADE. She was transferred to the new Island fleet when in March 2002 as ISLAND ESCAPE.
